From an early age, Jakob was captivated by the act of creating. Whether it was abstract drawings, imaginative painting, or figures sculpted from scraps of paper, his childhood was filled with artistic exploration. Encouraged by early experiences in school art classes, he thrived when given the freedom to express himself visually. However, as he progressed into secondary school, that passion was momentarily stifled. The rigid structure of curriculum left little room for innovation, and without inspiration or mentorship, Jakob stepped away from pursuing art academically. 

 After finishing school, Jakob entered the construction industry—a far cry from the creative world he once loved. But the question lingered: If money were no object, what would I spend my life doing? The answer came quickly and clearly— ‘Art’. It was a calling he could no longer ignore.

One evening, he brought home a discarded kitchen cabinet door from work, picked up some inexpensive paints from a local shop, and began to create again. That first painting, shared on Instagram, drew unexpected interest. Motivated, he continued experimenting. Next, painting a bust of Shakespeare from his home, the feedback was immediate and encouraging. It reignited a fire he thought he had left behind.
