Capturing the Spirit:
Western Art by Jakob
Dive into Jakob’s Inspiring Art Creations

About Jakob
Jakob is a contemporary British artist based in Northern Ireland. For over five years, he explored the vibrant world of pop art, drawing heavy influence from Japanese culture and aesthetics. However, at the beginning of 2024, Jakob underwent a significant artistic transformation—shifting from acrylic to oil paints, and from pop art to realism. Inspired by Western art traditions, he immersed himself in mastering a completely new visual language, embracing unfamiliar tools and techniques. This dedication not only expanded his artistic range but also led him to discover a renewed personal style.
Throughout his career, Jakob has exhibited his work in multiple galleries across London and has been featured in shows throughout Europe and Japan. His artwork has captured the attention of collectors worldwide, consistently resonating with audiences and evoking powerful emotional responses.
A pivotal moment in Jakob’s journey occurred in 2018, when he had a profound encounter with Jesus Christ. This spiritual experience marked a turning point in his creative direction, leading to the creation of “Trill Kid”—a character used to share biblically inspired messages within the pop art scene. Today, as he works within the realm of realism, Jakob’s artistic vision has evolved. His current aspiration is to reflect the glory of God through the natural world—crafting awe-inspiring, richly detailed compositions that blend wildlife, landscapes, cloudscapes, and depictions of humanity across history. Through these works, he seeks to reveal the boundless beauty and creativity of the divine Creator.
